Hove to Hangleton cycle route (Regional Route 82)

If ever completed Regional Cycle Route 82 will extend from Hove seafront, via Hangleton and Devil's Dyke, and probably linking with National Cycle Route 20 just north of Brighton near Newtimber Place.

A23 Sustainable Transport Corridor

Overall, the cycle lanes are OK, but the scheme is spoilt by the short sections of on-pavement cycle track just north of Preston Drove. The city council did not consult at all with cycling groups on this controversial part of the project and we continue to receive complaints from cyclists about this section of the route.

There were plans to continue cycle facilities from Carden Avenue r'about to the r'about just north of Patcham Place, but their current status is unclear.
